Frequently asked questions

What size skip is best for me?

Make sure you don't under estimate the size of the skip you need as two small skips can be more expensive than one large one. Imagine the waste as filled black bin bags then use our guide to see which size is best. Skips also need to be level loaded otherwise we will not be able to take them away.

What can be put into the skip?

Skips are for general and safe waste only, this means no fridges, T.V's or monitors, paints, solvents, asbestos or gas cylinders. If you are unsure please contact us with your queries.

Where can I put the skip?

Your Skip can be placed on your driveway if you have one or on the highway (permit required). Please ensure there is sufficient access as most of our trucks are quite large. If you do not give us ample warning about tight spaces we might not be able to deliver your skip.

What areas do you deliver skips to?

At present we deliver skips to the following areas: Rossendale including Bacup, Stacksteads, Haslingden, Rawtenstall, and Waterfoot. Burnley, Blackburn, Accrington, Clitheroe, Darwen, Hyndburn, Oswaldtwistle. If you live just outside one of these areas we might still be able to get to you , please conact us for more information or click here for a map.

What does level loaded mean?

Level loaded means that all of the waste is contained within the sides of the skip and it is not overfilled. This is a safety requirement as overfilled skips are hazardous to transport and our drivers are not allowed to take them.

Will the skip damage my driveway?

Due to the weight of the skip and the stabilizing equipment of the wagon, damage can sometimes occur. Our drivers are trained to minimise this risk. If this is a concern for you we can organise a permit for you and have your skip placed on the highway.

How long can I have the skip for?

For householders once your Skip is dropped we usually leave it with you for around a week. You can arrange to have sameday pick up or have it longer if you need. If you are on a contract there no terms and we will pickup your full skip at your notice and drop the replacement.

What happens to my waste?

All of the waste that we colllect is taken to our own licensed Recycling Centre (Material Recycling Facility) where we aim to recycle all waste that can be. For more information regarding our recycling percentages please contact us.

Can I open a trade account?

If you a business and require a regular skip or waste management service please contact us for our terms. We have recently had contracts with TESCO, ASDA and Rossendale Borough Council. Please click here for waste management services. If you are a building contractor or property developer we can also help you manage your waste.
